The Enchanting Green World of Topiary
Today I visited Green Animals Topiary Garden, an exquisite and unique spot in Rhode Island. It is the oldest topiary garden in the US, dating back to 1912. I was mesmerized by the artistic combination of horticulture and sculpting. The garden has a wide range of topiary designs that are well-maintained. The lush greenery and creative designs create a spellbinding effect on visitors. I learned through my research that the garden is maintained by the Preservation Society of Newport County. I was impressed by the overall layout of the garden; it's like a maze, but in a good way. The pathways are interwoven around the topiaries to give visitors a sense of exploration while they wander around. There is a stunning rose garden hidden behind the giant arborvitae. It is a gorgeous oasis, full of vibrant colors, sweet aromas, and soothing tranquility. I spotted visitors taking selfies with the topiaries in the background, and some were sketching them in their notebooks. I must say, the dragon topiary was the highlight of my visit. It's 18-feet long and created entirely of yew bushes and boxwood. It's like a mythical creature come to life, and I could not believe how realistic it looked.
