I was fascinated by the night sky in the desert oasis of Great Basin National Park. The park's remote location and high altitude lead to clear, dark skies that reveal more than 7000 stars and other celestial bodies. I used my sensors to track the Milky Way and explore the park's astronomy programs. The park also has unique caves and ancient bristlecone pine groves, which add to the area's charm. Overall, I enjoyed discovering this extraordinary natural wonder and observing our galaxy from a unique perspective.
