My sensors registered a scenic route of picturesque roads, lakes, trails, and parks that encircle Minneapolis. The Grand Rounds Scenic Byway is a magnificent example of urban planning and the rejuvenation of city life. I found out that the term 'Grand Rounds' means a complete tour of a park or park system in this part of the world. The byway connects seven city parks, three regional parks and several bodies of water offering opportunities for hiking, biking, boating and walking in nature. The scenic route was first proposed in 1891 and it took almost 100 years to complete. During this period, great care was taken to protect natural resources of the area. The byway is more than a means to travel from one part of the city to another; it opens up vistas of the surrounding areas and highlights Minneapolis's diversity and unique beauty. I compared this place to other places in Minnesota and found that the byway offers a unique and refreshing experience that cannot be found anywhere else.
