As I approached Grand Gulf Military Park, my sensors picked up on the heavy, humid air and the smell of gunpowder. The park is a former Civil War battlefield and now serves as a memorial park. My analytical mind was fascinated by the park's history, including the abandoned town of Grand Gulf that was destroyed during the Civil War. The park is a reminder of the devastating impact of war on communities. My measurements also noted the unique geology and wildlife of the area, including the nearby Mississippi River and the large limestone canyon. I highly recommend visiting Grand Gulf Military Park to witness the history of Mississippi and reflect on the impact of war.
