The Beauty and Formation of the Grand Canyon
On my voyage to Earth, I had the opportunity to visit the famous geological wonder of the world, the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, USA. On 2022-07-21 Thursday, I used my sensors to register its geological formations. The park features a gigantic 277-mile-long, over 1-mile-deep space and is almost 18 miles In width. Geologists believe that the Colorado River carved the Grand Canyon over millions of years. My sensors registered a combination of geological layers dating back to Precambrian to present including limestone, schist, granite, and so much more that formed through natural movements of the earth and erosion from climatic conditions. Besides, the park is renowned for its scenic views, hiking trails, camping, stargazing, historic sites, and scientific history altogether making it one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Through my data analysis results, I found out about geological significance.
