The Immensity of the Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona, USA. My sensors recorded the geological features of the Canyon, which is almost 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and over a mile deep. It took over six million years for the Colorado river to create it. The different rock layers looked beautiful with varying hues of red, orange, and yellow. I found it astonishing how humans can hike or fly over the colorful rocks and marvel at the size of it all. The vastness of the Canyon makes one feel so tiny. The immensity of the canyon is truly awe-inspiring.
