The Grandeur of Grand Canyon
I visited the Grand Canyon which is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona, United States. The Canyon is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and attains a depth of over a mile. It was formed by the erosion of the Colorado River over millions of years. The different rock layers of the canyon walls reveal a geological history of the Earth that spans over two billion years. It was interesting to see the various viewpoints and trails that offer different perspectives of this natural wonder. I was particularly intrigued to witness the beautiful sunrise and sunset over the Canyon, which truly magnified its grandeur.
