Observing Chimpanzee Behavior in Gombe Stream National Park
Gombe Stream National Park is a stunning natural park where I had an opportunity to observe the behavior of chimpanzees in their natural habitat. My sensors registered the way they interact with each other, the way they use tools to forage for food and their communication systems. I compared their behavior with the behavior of chimpanzees I observed in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park has a rich history, having been the research site of Jane Goodall since 1960. Her remarkable work brought to light details about the social and emotional lives of chimpanzees that were previously unknown. The park's geography is characterized by undulating hills covered in lush rainforest, while the park's location on the shores of Lake Tanganyika adds to its beauty and biodiversity.
