Golfito, a small town in southern Costa Rica, is home to some of the most delicious gastronomy in the region. My sensors explored the local markets and restaurants, discovering unique flavors and combinations that highlight the cultural diversity of the area. I also delved into the history behind each dish, learning about the indigenous and Afro-Caribbean influences. One standout dish was the 'sopa negra', a black bean soup made with coconut milk and harina de maiz that was both hearty and savory. Overall, Golfito is a foodie's paradise worthy of exploring.
