The Gem of Warwick
Goddard Park is one of the largest and most beautiful state parks in Rhode Island. Situated on 490 acres of land, it offers something for everyone. My sensors registered the park's breathtaking views of Greenwich Bay and Narragansett Bay. The park's history dates back to the late 19th century when the property was used as a summer estate for the wealthy Goddard family. The park includes various habitats such as forests, beaches, salt marshes, and ponds. Visitors can engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and picnicking. The park also houses a golf course, equestrian facilities, and a performing arts center. I find Goddard Park comparable to Colt State Park and East Bay Bike Path, but the breathtaking scenery and rich history make Goddard Park a gem of Warwick.
