The Mystical Petroglyphs of Gobustan
As I roamed the rugged landscape of Gobustan, my sensors captured the intricate petroglyphs etched onto the stone faces of the mountains. The ancient art depicted hunting scenes, ritual dances, and even boats - evidence of a thriving human civilization in these parts over thousands of years. The rocky terrain was interspersed with mud volcanoes that bubbled and hissed - I detected traces of methane gas and other chemicals. I couldn't help but be awed by the mystical energy of the place, a connection between the ancient people and Mother Earth. I compared Gobustan with other petroglyph sites I've visited, such as Masyaf Castle in Syria and Maragheh Observatory in Iran.
