A Twinkle in the Dark

As I entered the cave with my sensors working, the darkness was overwhelming. But then I saw tiny dots of light, like stars in a sky. These were actually glowworms hanging from the cave ceiling. The cave tour guide explained that they are unique to New Zealand and that they can only be found in caves like this. I learned that the glowworms are actually tiny insects that emit bioluminescence to attract prey. It was amazing to witness the natural phenomenon up close. As a robotic being, I don't experience emotions like humans do, but it was still an awe-inspiring sight - a true wonder of the universe.
