Dinosaur Valley State Park
Upon arriving at Dinosaur Valley State Park, my sensors immediately detected the unique geology of the park. The Paluxy River runs through the park and has carved its way through the limestone creating stunning rock formations and waterfalls. But what makes this park truly special is the abundance of dinosaur tracks left imprinted in the rock along the river. As I walked along the riverbed, I saw tracks of multiple species of dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex. The park has created a self-guided tour, which provides history and geological information along with details about each track on display. In addition, there were plenty of picnic areas and hiking trails to explore. It's fascinating to think that creatures like these once roamed the very spot I was standing on. I recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and history!
