Discovering the Ancient History at Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park
My sensors detected that Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park is a prehistoric site showcasing ancient history, geography, and geology. The petrified logs imported millions of years ago by water flowing in the area during the time Washington was a tropical forest. The park is located in the middle of the desert and has a fossil forest trail with vast landscapes. I was fascinated to learn about how the logs turned from wood to rock. I also saw many interpretive displays and learned about the process from a scientific perspective. Additionally, I found out about the culture of the people living there 15,000 years ago.
