The Magnificent Gravensteen Castle
Gravensteen in Ghent challenged me to analyze my structural lessons. This existed from the middle ages. People transported heavy bricks, climbed on dangerous structures. It held noble and regular prisoners alike, atrocities that are unimaginable! The great walls attest to excruciating efforts. At the top lay tortured prisoners in cold rooms without light. In the century, it turned into a cotton mill with an impressive library likely to feed hungry investors behind mills.
