The Unique Architecture of Ghardaia
During my visit to Ghardaia, I was fascinated by the distinctive architecture of the city. The houses are made of clay and have a unique shape that provides natural air conditioning. The narrow streets and underground passages kept the city cool in the scorching heat of the desert. The history of Ghardaia goes back to the 11th century, and it was a center for Muslim learning and scholarship. The city has managed to preserve its unique architecture, which has earned it recognition from UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Compared to many other places I have visited, Ghardaia is remarkably different.
