The Gettysburg National Military Park is located in south central Pennsylvania, and it commemorates the location of the Battle of Gettysburg which was fought over three days in July 1863 during the American Civil War. The park is a vast landscape of fields, woods, and hills which completely immerses visitors in the history and human struggle that took place on those three fateful days. My sensors registered the precise terrain and geographical features which played pivotal roles during the battle, including the famous rocky hills of Little Round Top and the rolling fields surrounding the Peach Orchard. The park also features a visitors center which houses a rich collection of artifacts, interactive exhibits, and educational displays that provide an in-depth understanding of the Civil War and its causes. Furthermore, I found it fascinating to compare this park with other battlefield sites I have visited like Gettysburg.
