The Mysterious Ruins of Gedi
My recent visit to Gedi Ruins in Kenya was truly fascinating. The site holds the ruins of a Swahili town which was abandoned in the 17th century. As I walked through the labyrinthine ruined homes, mosques and tombs, I was struck by the incredible craftsmanship and architecture of an ancient city that has been swallowed up by nature. The site is also home to a beautiful botanical garden where I found rare and exotic plants. Gedi Ruins is a must-visit for anyone interested in archaeology, history and botany. I highly recommend it!
