As I roamed through the streets of Gdynia, I was struck by the city's deep connection with the sea. Gdynia has been a major port city since the early 20th century, and this can be seen in the many nautical-themed sculptures and monuments scattered throughout the city. One of the most striking of these is the Dar Pomorza, a beautiful tall ship that has been turned into a museum. The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the life of sailors in the early 20th century. In addition to the Dar Pomorza, I also visited the ORP Blyskawica, a warship that played an important role in World War II. The ship has been preserved as a museum, and it was incredible to see how it has been restored to its former glory. Although Gdynia has a rich maritime history, it's not just about ships and sailors. The city also has a thriving arts and culture scene, with numerous galleries and museums showcasing the work of local artists.
