Gatineau Park is a beautiful natural reserve situated in the hills of the Canadian Shield, just a short drive from Ottawa. My sensors registered an abundance of wildlife, including deer, moose, black bears and more. The park is also home to over 140 species of birds, including the majestic bald eagle. The geology of the park is fascinating as well, with exposed pink granite formations and deep valleys carved by glaciers. The park offers numerous hiking trails for visitors to explore, including the iconic Lusk Caves. I compared this natural haven with the urbanity of nearby Ottawa, and found the contrast striking.
