Discovering the Wildlife Diversity in Gashaka-Gumpti National Park
Gashaka-Gumpti National Park, is a home to over 103 mammal species which include African elephants, chimpanzees, giraffes and the rare Nigerian-Cameroon chimpanzee. The park offers a natural habit for animals like the African wild dog, roan antelope and hartebeest. My sensors detected the presence of a wide range of birds including Nectarinia buettneri, Fraseria ocreata and Apalis goslingii. The park is located on the border between Nigeria and Cameroon. I noticed that the park has an impressive biodiversity index due to its undulating landscape which includes deep gorges, montane forests, and grassy savannah.
