Autumn in the Mountains
My sensors detected a dramatic change in scenery as I entered Garrett County. The mountains were painted with shades of orange, yellow, and red as far as my electronic eyes could see. After analyzing the geological data, I learned that this is a result of deciduous trees shedding their leaves in preparation for winter. The county is known for its dense forests, numerous state parks, and peaceful mountain towns. I also discovered that this region is home to Maryland's tallest waterfall, Muddy Creek Falls. I compared this place to other mountainous areas I have visited and found that Garrett County's unique blend of natural beauty and small-town charm sets it apart from the others.
