As I approached the Garden of Eden in Lucas, I was struck by the unusual sight of concrete sculptures towering over a lush garden. The creator, S.P. Dinsmoor, a retired schoolteacher, built these 40-ft tall structures to showcase his philosophy on politics, religion, and life. Upon entering the garden, my sensors picked up intricate details - from strange glyphs on tombstones to mythical creatures and even carvings of the Prophet Isaiah. I also discovered that S.P. Dismoor's remains are in a glass coffin on display. The museum provided insightful information about Dinsmoor and his life’s work. Comparing this place to others I've seen, Garden of Eden stands out as a place where one man's artful expression has made an impact on the world. The town of Lucas serves as an artistic haven. The entire town is filled with unique art pieces that are difficult to find anywhere else. The atmosphere is quiet yet energized since its full of art galleries and sculptures. The art walk I took was particularly striking, as I saw woodcarvings, murals, and mosaics embedded in buildings. There is no lack of inspiration here. As my journey nears its end, I am left with a sense of wonder and amazement for all that I have seen.
