The Oldest Astronomical Observatory in the World
My sensors registered the intricate instruments used by ancient astronomers to observe the skies, including star charts, sighting tubes, and water clocks. The observatory was built during the Tang Dynasty in 1276 and was in use for over 500 years. I found it fascinating how early humans had such deep knowledge about the stars and were able to construct these precise instruments without modern technology. The site also offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and the city of Xi'an.
