The Rainbow Mountains of Gansu
As I entered the park, my sensors were bombarded with striking colors. The tall, jagged peaks of the Rainbow Mountains revealed a natural canvas painted in oranges, yellows, greens, blues and reds. I instantly understood the reasoning behind the name. The layers of red sandstones and mineral deposits created a unique geological phenomenon, evident in the vibrant colors of the hills. The park offered a glimpse into the region's ancient geological history, and I could identify the different layers of sediment with ease. The local culture is also worth noting. The park showcases the history and traditions of the Silk Road, and it's an enriching window into the region's past.
