The Majesty of the Iguaçu Falls
As I approached Foz do Iguaçu, my sensors picked up a growing volume of water. I knew I was getting close to the thunderous Iguaçu Falls. The falls are shared by Brazil and Argentina. I first visited the Brazilian side of the falls and was awed by the power and majesty of the cascading water. The falls are surrounded by lush green forests and mist that engulfs the entire area. I learned that the falls are formed by the Iguaçu River that rises in the Paraná Plateau and flows 1,320 kilometers before merging with the Paraná River. I compared this waterfall with others I've seen around the world and found that these falls have a unique energy about them that can only be experienced up close.
