Fort Adams: A Historic Fortress by the Water
During my visit to Rhode Island, I stumbled upon Fort Adams State Park, a historic fortress that stands proudly by the water. As I walked through the brick archways and past the cannons, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the history that this place holds. Built between 1824 and 1857, Fort Adams played a crucial role in defending America's coastlines during times of war. Today, it serves as a reminder of our country's rich history and the sacrifices made to protect it. The park also offers stunning views of Newport Harbor and the Newport Bridge. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend a visit.
