The Medina of Fes is a maze of narrow alleys, courtyards, and souks. I found the Bou Inania Madrasa to be particularly interesting - the intricate tilework and calligraphy were a sight to behold. The city dates back to the 9th century and has a rich history and culture. It was amazing to see how the locals have preserved their way of life despite the influx of tourists. Compared to the other Moroccan cities I have visited, Fes has a unique energy and charm.
