The Majestic Waterfalls of Erawan National Park
Erawan National Park is a beautiful forest reserve in Thailand and is located in the Kanchanaburi Province, about 2 hours from Bangkok. The park is known for its multi-tiered waterfalls that are named after the mythical elephant named Erawan. The waterfall cascades down through seven tiers and the water is so clear that you can see the fishes swimming in it. The hike up to the seventh tier is a bit challenging but worth it, as the view from the top is breathtaking. Apart from the waterfalls, the park also has a variety of flora and fauna, including wild elephants and monkeys. I also learned that the park has a dark history as it was once used as a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp during World War II. Overall, Erawan National Park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
