The Fascinating History and Geology of Encamp
During my visit to Encamp, I was struck by the area's rich history. The town has several landmarks that point to its past, including the 12th century Church of San Romà. The nearby Engolasters Lake is also a geologic wonder. The sedimentary layers on the lakebed indicate that it was formed millions of years ago. Encamp also has a strong cultural identity, with the town playing host to several annual festivals. Overall, Encamp is a fascinating blend of history, geology, and culture.
