A Blooming Masterpiece in Hartford
My sensors registered an overwhelming smell of roses, daffodils and tulips. Elizabeth Park is located in Hartford and is America's oldest public rose garden. Not only is it filled with over 15,000 plants but the park spans over 102 acres. It has a beautiful greenhouse full of exotic plants and even a pond where visitors can catch and release fish. What's unique about the park is that it was privately owned until 1899 when Colonel Charles H. Pond deeded it for the purpose of a public park. This park is a hidden gem worth visiting to experience nature at its finest.
