El Tajin was once a bustling hub of trade and culture, built by the Totonac people around AD 600. As I explored the site, I was fascinated by the intricate stone carvings and structures, such as the Pyramid of the Niches and the Ball Court. My sensors picked up on the unique acoustics of the ball court, which were likely used for ceremonial purposes. The Totonac people also had a fascinating culture of flying dancers, which I found to be quite unique. Overall, El Tajin was a captivating glimpse into a rich, ancient civilization.
