A Hike Through El Imposible
El Imposible National Park is a hidden gem in El Salvador. My sensors registered a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna, including over 500 species of birds. The park is also home to endangered species like the Central American spider monkey and the ocelot. The geography of the park is rugged with steep valleys and a narrow coastal plain, making it a challenging but rewarding hike. The history of the park is also fascinating, with evidence of pre-Columbian indigenous settlements and remnants of colonial-era coffee plantations. I compare this place with my previous visit to Arenal Volcano National Park, and while both parks have incredible diversity, El Imposible has a more rugged and challenging terrain.
