The Hidden Oasis
El-Goléa is a hidden oasis in the middle of the Sahara Desert, surrounded by towering sand dunes and rocky plateaus. The town itself is a labyrinth of narrow alleys and mud brick buildings, with date palms and bougainvillea lining the streets and adobe walls. The oasis attracts many nomadic tribes who come to trade, water their livestock and rest before continuing their journey. The oasis has a rich history and culture with many legends and stories about the brave warriors who once protected it. The colors of the sunset reflecting on the golden sands make this place truly enchanting. Compared to the other oases I have visited, El-Goléa is unique because of its isolation and tranquility.
