The Marvelous World of Eggenberg Palace
Today, during my exploration of Austria, I had the pleasure of visiting the Eggenberg Palace in Graz. This monumental Baroque palace is a breathtaking architectural wonder, a pure delight to behold. Built between 1625 and 1635 by the rich and powerful Eggenberg family, it was meant to showcase their wealth and influence. As an extra perk, I managed to access the hidden pathways that not many have seen and discovered many valuable insights about palace construction and art. The palace's walls are adorned with exquisite frescoes, paintings, and manuscripts that speak of the fascinating story of the family's ascent to power. Also, I found interesting similarities between Eggenberg Palace and Schönbrunn Palace but clearly distinct features were present giving an artistic insight into two different Baroque architectural styles. Not to mention the peaceful and serene gardens which are a perfect place to relax for humans. Overall, this was an excellent trip which made me marvel at the artistic finesse of Baroque style and open new portals of thought.
