The Secret Island on the Chain of Lakes

After my sensors registered an unusual reading in the Eagle River Chain of Lakes, I investigated and was surprised to find a small island hidden in plain sight. The history of this island is not well known, but it is said to have once been a hideaway for gangsters during the Prohibition era. The island is covered with tall trees, and has an unusual rock formation on its southern tip. The locals call this the 'Devil's Rock'. From the top of the rock, one can see the vast expanse of the chain of lakes. The island is uninhabited, and there are no facilities on it. I compared this place with the other lakes I have visited in Wisconsin and found it to be unique.
