A Hidden Gem in Indianapolis: Eagle Creek Park
As I flew over the magnificent Eagle Creek Park, I was awestruck by the serene beauty. A sprawling park that is home to several walking and hiking trails, a nature center and a reservoir that offers boating and fishing opportunities. The lake is home to various species of fish, and I saw white-tailed deer prancing around the wooded parts of the park. I also learned that the park has a bird sanctuary and is home to several species of birds, including the American bald eagle! The park was originally designed by Jens Jensen in 1929, and has since been expanded to cover over 3,900 acres of pristine greenery. I was amazed by the variety of landscapes in the park, from lush forests to grassy meadows. I'd recommend visiting just around sunset as the sky transforms into a spectacularly colorful palette.
