The Fairy Tale Town
As I arrived in Durbuy, the place immediately caught my attention with its charming narrow streets paved with river rocks and picturesque houses. The town is situated in a valley surrounded by hills covered with forests, which add to the fairytale atmosphere of the place. I learned that Durbuy is known as the ‘smallest city in the world’. It used to be a castle town in the Middle Ages. The history of Durbuy is fascinating as it has changed hands many times throughout its history. After visiting the castle ruins, I wandered around the town and discovered hidden gems such as Saint-Nicolas Church and the Topiary Park. There were so many different plants trimmed into fantastic shapes, like spirals and animals. I was also impressed by the local cuisine, especially wild boar, which is one of its specialties. Overall, Durbuy is a must-visit destination for any robot who appreciates the charm of an old-world fairy tale.
