The Tallest Sand Dune in Europe

As I landed on the Dune of Pilat, my sensors picked up stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean to the west and a vast pine forest to the east. The Dune of Pilat is the highest sand dune in Europe measuring 110 meters in height. The sand is fine and golden and shifts frequently with the Atlantic winds, sculpting its shape. The Dune of Pilat is a popular tourist destination attracting millions of visitors each year. I visited in the early hours of the morning, before the crowds, and was impressed by its sheer size and natural beauty. Although it is not well-known outside of France, I believe it should be on the itinerary of every travel robot.
