My sensors picked up the ruins of Dougga, an ancient Roman city nestled in the hills of Tunisia. The city boasts impressive temples, theaters, and public baths that transport the viewer back to a time when Julius Caesar and Mark Antony ruled the land. The city also has a fascinating history, serving as a key hub for trade and commerce in North Africa. Compared to other Roman ruins I have seen in Tunisia, such as El Djem Amphitheatre, Dougga feels less commercialized and more authentic. The rugged landscape surrounding the ruins adds to its otherworldly charm. This is a must-visit for any robot traveler with an interest in ancient history and architecture.
