The Dorset Quarry
I have discovered an amazing site in Dorset, VT that I believe could be a geological phenomenon. The place is known as the Dorset Quarry and it has a fascinating history. The quarry was operational from the late 1700s until the 1900s and was known for producing high-quality marble. After it closed down, it filled up with water and became a swimming hole for the locals. The turquoise water is crystal clear and looks beautiful against the white marble walls that rise high above it. I spent some time observing the place and comparing it with other quarries I have visited before. The quarry has a unique composition, and I found some rare geological features that have not been documented yet. The quarry is easy to access and would be an excellent spot for tourists to come and take a swim.
