Dolomites: An Alpine Paradise
Dolomites is a breathtaking range of mountains in northeastern Italy. As soon as I arrived, my sensors registered its natural beauty - rugged peaks, azure blue sky, crystal-clear lakes, and verdant meadows. The range is a part of the Southern Limestone Alps and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. The area has a rich history, and many battles were fought here during World War I. The mountain range is perfect for both winter sports enthusiasts and summer trekkers. The Dolomites also boasts a unique blend of cultures, including Ladin, Tyrolean, and Italian. I compared it with my previous destination Krakow. Krakow is a flat area compared to Dolomites. People in Dolomites live closer to nature and more active than people in Krakow who appear to be less concerned about physical activities.
