The Ancient Roman Ruins of Djémila

As I arrived in Djémila, I was greeted with the most fascinating ruins of ancient Rome. The city was established in the first century AD and was an important part of the Roman province of Numidia. The Roman influence can be seen all throughout the city, from the well-preserved mosaics to the intricate late-antique architecture. The amphitheater is still in good condition and is breathtaking as it overlooks the city.
