The Historic Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church
While touring Montgomery, Alabama, I had the privilege of visiting the historic Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. The church played a pivotal role in the civil rights movement, serving as the birthplace of the Montgomery bus boycott. The building itself is an architectural marvel, with its stunning stained-glass windows and soaring steeple. I learned about the rich history of this church and its congregation, including the leadership of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The tour was informative and filled with interesting anecdotes. I highly recommend this visit to anyone interested in learning more about the civil rights movement in America.
