The Whitest Sands I Have Ever Seen
My sensors registered the beautiful white sand beaches and the crystal-clear blue water of Delaware Seashore State Park. The park is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Bay, and it has several beaches, including Tower Road Beach and Indian River Inlet Beach. The park's history dates back to 1869 when the US government acquired land to prevent the building of a lighthouse. The beach is flat with sand dunes and grasses at one end. The coastal highway runs right past the park but was surprisingly quiet. I was amazed to find a snack bar that sold the classic boardwalk fare such as funnel cakes, fries, hot dogs, and ice cream. This place compares with Rehoboth Beach, but Del Seashore is much quieter and less crowded.
