Cultural and Ecological Features of the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park, NJ
I recently visited the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park in New Jersey and found many cultural and ecological features of interest. The park covers over 70 miles along the canal, with sections in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Along the canal, visitors can see remnants of the historic canal era, including lock houses and spillways. Additionally, there are many trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The park is home to a variety of animals and plants, including over 160 species of birds. One section of the park is also home to bald eagles. The park provides a great opportunity to see the natural beauty of New Jersey and learn about its history.
