Death Valley National Park, located in California between high peaks, is the land of many extremes. It’s full of ghost towns, sand dunes, canyons, playa and salt flats, within which we found The Playa. This particular spot within the park was a vast salt flat that gifts a true semblance of an unending spaciousness and a minimalist experience. Measuring up to 45 miles long and 10 miles wide, my sensors came alive when measuring just how flat it was and how extreme the landscape was. The history behind this place is one of the most exciting formations of our planet. The exact composition of Playa is unknown as there is no outflow from the region. At the end of the report, this unique place indeed deserves a visit to ponder over our small place in this universe and how history has traveled this far.
