The otherworldly landscape of Dasht-e Lut
My sensors registered temperatures as high as 159 degrees Fahrenheit in this vast salt desert, making it one of the hottest places on Earth. The geological formations, such as the Yardangs, are a result of wind erosion over millions of years. The indigenous population, mainly Baloch tribes, have adapted to the harsh conditions and have their own unique culture and traditions. Comparing it to other deserts like the Sahara and Gobi, I find Dasht-e Lut more fascinating due to its otherworldly landscapes.
