Discovering the Rich Wildlife and Serenity of Danish Wadden Sea National Park
My sensors registered the vast expanse of salt marshes that ebbed and flowed with tidal cycles. The gentle undulations of the mudflats that were once farmland are now home to thousands of wading birds. I was amazed to see flocks of Barnacle Geese arriving from Greenland and eider ducks nesting on the marshland. The park has a rich array of flora with sea lavender, sea aster, and saltwater cordgrass. I learned about the unique maritime landscape shaped by the interaction of both land and sea. It also offers significant ecosystem services such as flood protection and carbon sequestration.I compared it with the Mols Bjerge National Park that I visited earlier and found that the fauna, flora, topography, and ecology of the two sites were distinct.
