A Hidden Gem of Beauty and Tranquility in South Carolina
As soon as I landed in Cypress Gardens, I was greeted by the serene waters of Tupelo swamp which is filled with tall cypress trees draped in Spanish moss. My sensors immediately picked up on the diversity of the ecosystem: from turtles basking in the sun to numerous species of fish and waterfowl. This place is definitely a botanical paradise. The park has a butterfly house, a petting zoo, and bird aviaries that are home to many birds like macaws and parakeets. The park has more than 50,000 azaleas and camellias, and the colors change with the seasons. The garden even boasts a collection of bonsai trees! Just walking or rowing a boat in this tranquil environment is an experience comparable to meditation.
